Awesome. No? She then.
Just after defeating the giant fear Demon in Adamant Fortress. As in, goes through the rift expecting to leave the fade and finds herself waking up in AM.
Average height, slender build with some good muscle tone starting under her curves. Has pale green eyes that might be confused for being almost blue, but are actually green.
Sadira Trevelyan was born into the 7th or 8th (really who is counting?) most illustrious family in Ostwick, located in the Free Marches. She had a fairly normal early childhood, being raised as the youngest child among of an unknown number of siblings. As one of the youngest, it was expected of her to one day take up duties within the Templar Order or within the Chantry, so additional schooling was given towards the Chantry's teachings above what her siblings usually received. At least until she was eight.
Shortly after her eighth birthday, her magic manifested and her family dutifully sent her to the Circle of Magi at Ostwick. While at the circle, Sadira was a model apprentice, showing talent enough that Senior Enchanter Lydia took an interest in her. To some, slightly more jealous apprentices, she was considered a little too good. The additional freedom she had to visit her family also earned her some small resentment among the poorer or less politically inclined within the tower.
When the Circles rose up, Sadira did not join the other mages when they fled. Eventually she did end up at the Divine's Conclave and ended up being sent into the fade with a nifty new mark on her hand when it blew up. From there she joined the fledgling inquisition, doing good deeds.
One such good deed was recruiting the Mage Rebellion to the Inquisition cause as allies, which naturally caused controversy. Still, with their help the breach was sealed. Except this pissed off Corypheus who then came and peed on Haven like a giant darkspawn hamster. And by peeing it is meant that he destroyed it.
After surviving the attack on Haven, Sadira led them to a hidden and long abandoned stronghold called Skyhold where the inquisition could amass and grow safely. She was also named the Inquisitor and stated that she would take up the mantle 'as a mage standing with everyone and not above them'.
From there on she began a campaign to stop Corypheus and his mad plots (plots she discovered while being sent forwards in time). The first was securing the Orlesian empire by ensuring that Empres Celene, Briala and Grand Duke Gaspard all worked together under the direction of the Inquisition.
With the empress saved and the Game bested, Sadira turned her attention to the Exalted Plains and began her campaign around there to bring peace to the land torn by Orlais civil war. In this time, She also thought it's be a great idea to go and fight a dragon (Bull's doing). And so she went and killed the Ferelden Frostback in the Hinterlands.
The next stop was the Western Approach, where the Grey Wardens were amassing a demon army at the behest of Corypheus who now controlled the Warden Mages. Sadira honed her skills as a Knight-Enchanter, and assaulted Griffon Wing Keep then began her attack on the warden stronghold of Adamant Fortress.
In subduing the threat of the Grey Wardens, Sadira and a few others ended up trapped physically in the fade. The inquisitor and co. headed through the fade, aided by some sort of spirit that looked and acted like the late Divine Justinia V. She helped Sadira to regain her memories and also to fight the Giant Fear Demon.
It is at this point that Sadira ended up going through the rift, but finding herself not in Thedas.
Personality: Noble: Even though she was raised in the circle, she still is used to certain rank and privilege that comes with being a noble, such as special treatment while in the circle and using her family ties to help the inquisition. She can do without the pageantry and titles, but it is part of her inherent nature and is often exhibited in her mannerisms. She doesn't talk down to people because of her rank and much rather be treated like everyone else.
Sadira was also the perfect apprentice growing up with apparent talent and skill having passed her harrowing with ease. (As mentioned in a dialogue with a mage named Linnea) Despite being talented, she isn't very boastful of her abilities beyond occasionally reminding people that she is in fact a mage. This is done not because she feels the need for everyone to know this aspect about her but serves more as a reality check for herself and sometimes for others.
As a Knight-Enchanter Sadira embraces the role of leadership and command. She is not afraid to charge into the fray, or to do what needs to be done, despite any of her personal fears or misgivings. This is not done recklessly but rather with determination. She will never ask someone to do something that she herself would not do.
As a devout Andrastrian, she believes in the Maker but not necessarily that the Chantry is doing the best. She also believed right up until recently that she is the Herald of Andraste and that it was the Maker's will that she bore the mark. Having just gotten her stolen memories back, she is left with self doubt and in a sort of fragile state that is not intended to last long. Consider it a questioning of beliefs.
She is the proud owner of the "why me" and "divine bad luck" mentality that just happens to be coupled with the willpower and determination of "no one else is doing anything, so it might as well be me" attitude. Sounds like a contradiction? In a way it is. She keeps being thrust into situations where miraculous things keep happening and she keeps having to be the one to make tough calls. She also isn't afraid to ask others for help and even takes a back seat occasionally when someone's expertise in an area is better than hers.
Sadira is also a learning nerd. Really she loves history, lore and all things magical and is happy to learn about or discuss such things any time. Sometimes she can mire herself in the details, falling down the rabbit hole as it was while learning or studying something new. This is also reflected quite often in her asking questions of people about everything. She mostly such conversation with Dorian and Solas since both had experiences outside of what she knew being a circle mage.
Abilities: I've got magic fingers!Mark of the Rift (taps into the music, thus giving Sadira very ill effects ranging from headache to magic sickness.)
Addendum: the mark also allows Sadira to have times where she lucid dreams/ is able to talk with another in dreams. As this is not an area she is skilled in, nor one that is innate to her, she has only managed it once (that is known) But she does have the potential for this ability.
